What is BIL number for Biometric Appointment at Visa application centres in India?

There are a lot of students approaching us and asking for BIL Number to book an appointment at one of the Visa application centres in India.

As per the recent update received that Visa Application Centres will begin scheduling limited biometric appointments as of November 20th in: Delhi, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Bengaluru. Family Class applicants and Study Permit principal applicants will have priority as they phase in services.

Walk-in clients at the Visa application centres are not permitted. All appointments must be confirmed in advance. We strongly recommend do not to visit the Visa application centres unless you are attending your own scheduled appointment.

If you have a Biometric Instructions Letter ( in short we call it BIL) issued by IRCC, you will receive additional instructions via email to the email ID they have on file for you on how to schedule your biometric appointment.

More appointments will become available each week as Visa application centres will organise this service in parts.

In regards to the BIL number for Biometric Appointment at Visa application centres, you must enter your Application reference number.

Though at this time Visa application centres are not permitted to offer appointments for categories other than Family Class Priority. Please continue to visit the COVID-19 page for further updates.
