Student Visa For Switzerland

To get enrolled in a University in Switzerland, one must comply with the following requirements.
At Undergraduate Level:
        ● Successful completion of Senior Secondary Certificate (10+2) with an aggregate of at least 65% in the best 4 subjects (excluding any local languages).
        ● IELTS or TOEFL

Masters in Switzerland for Indian students require the following:
        ● A good Bachelor’s degree from a relevant background.
        ● 1st class throughout. 2 - 3 years’ work experience will be preferable.
        ● IELTS or TOEFL.

Study Visa Switzerland When you apply for a student visa, there are 2 types of visas that may confuse you. We have generalized both of them below for your comprehension.
        ● C type visa- this is a short-term visa that is required if the duration of your stu7dies is less than 90 days(3 months). This covers summer schools, seminars, or language schools.
        ● D type visa- this is a long-term visa that allows you to stay in Switzerland and continue your studies that have a duration of more than 90 days. This includes degree programs, diplomas, and certifications.

Processing time:
Short-stay visas: 10–14 days
Long-stay visas: at least 8–10 weeks

The documentation required by the Swiss embassy or consulate are mentioned below:
        ● A fully filled and signed application form.
        ● A valid passport and passport-size photographs.
        ● A completed and signed residence permit application form.
        ● A certificate or letter of acceptance from a Swiss university.
        ● High school diploma or previous academic transcripts and diplomas, if applicable.
        ● Language proficiency certificates in English, Italian, French, or German.
        ● Curriculum vitae.
        ● Motivation letter explaining the reasons you chose to study in Switzerland.
        ● Evidence of paying the application fee.

Swiss Student Visa: Necessary Documents

The standard mandatory requirements for every Swiss visa application:
        ● Three long-stay visas (D Visa) application forms, filled and signed.
        ● Four passport-size photographs.
        ● A valid passport.
        ● Letter of acceptance from a Swiss University.
        ● Proof of payment of the registration and tuition fees, either original or copy.
        ● Proof of sufficient funds for your studies in Switzerland through bank statements (provide evidence of having 21,000 CHF or 19,200 EUR at the beginning of each year of your studies).
        ● Scholarship/Loan proof, if applicable.
        ● Curriculum Vitae.
        ● Letter of motivation.
        ● A written statement that you will leave Switzerland upon completion of your studies.
