Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology (NZIST) is providing over 20 scholarships, each worth NZ$10,000, to Indian students. Selected candidates will have the chance to experience top-tier education through New Zealand’s renowned vocational institutions that specialize in applied, career-focused learning.

These scholarships are available to Indian students entering their first year of full-time studies in New Zealand in 2025 within the fields of science and technology. The scholarship will offer a discount on the tuition fees for your first year at one of the participating Te Pūkenga institutions.

How can I qualify for a scholarship?
No separate application is needed for this scholarship. Te Pūkenga institutions will automatically choose scholarship recipients from eligible students who apply for their selected program by 25 October 2024 and meet the required criteria.

Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old when applying.
• Be an Indian citizen, without citizenship or permanent residency in New Zealand or Australia.
• Be living in India at the time of application.
• Be accepted into an eligible full-time science or technology program for 2025 and maintain full-time enrollment throughout the year.
• Hold an unconditional offer from a participating NZIST institution for your chosen program starting in 2025.
• Satisfy Immigration New Zealand’s student visa requirements.
