GRE Test Modules

GRE General Test, being a computer-delivered test, basically comprises 3 sections. It examines the subjective thinking of a student. The overview of each is given below.

Analytical Writing

It has 2 questions each with a time limit of 30 minutes:

Verbal Reasoning

The verbal section grades the ability of a student to analyze and interpret published materials that are required in most graduate schools. It has 2 sections with 20 questions each. The time limit for each section is 30 minutes and the type of questions are as follows:
● Sentence equivalence
● Text completion
● Reading comprehension
The score scale is 130-170 reported in half-point increments.

Quantitative Reasoning

This part is mightier than most people think. As the name suggests, it measures the understanding of mathematical skills and concepts. Basic knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data analysis is a requisite.
Just like verbal reasoning, it also has 2 sections with 20 questions each. The time limit for each section is 30 minutes and the type of questions are as follows:
● Quantitative Comparison Questions
● Multiple-choice Questions — Select One Answer Choice
● Multiple-choice Questions — Select One or More Answer Choices
● Numeric Entry Questions
