The pearson test of english is an english proficiency test aimed at the assessment of a candidate’s promptitude of non-anglophones to partake in a university-level English language instruction program. Accepted by embassies and employers worldwide, this computer-based test allows study abroad aspirants to get enrolled in their dream colleges, such as Harvard Business School, INSEAD, and Yale University. There are two types of Pearson Test of English, academic and general. The PTE Academic test is basically for those candidates who wish to pursue their further studies in foreign English-speaking nations. It is accepted by various state colleges, universities, educational institutions, and governments all across the globe.
On the other hand, the latter is advised to those who plan on migrating to an English-speaking nation. Unlike the PTE academic exam that has a validity of 2 years, the PTE general certificates do not have an expiration date.
PTE academic UKVI is a Secure English Language Test (SELT), approved by the UK home office requisite for tier 4 and tier 2 visas in the United Kingdom. However, in terms of the course content and test format, there are no variations. The difference lies in the registration process where for UKVI there are a few additional requirements. This is a required exam that needs to be taken by students who wish to pursue their higher studies abroad as this is a universal exam and the universities worldwide accept PTE, especially in Australia and New Zealand.
